When connected to a zoom meeting some video feeds are more important than others, for instance sign interpreter video feeds.
Other video feeds are less important, or can even ruin your concentration. Sometimes it is not enough for one to raise a concern and have the host block the video, rather it can be personal. So having a way to “turn off” video and/or sound of other participants, just for yourself locally, is needed.
All in all, local prioritization of video feeds, and even local on/off features, are needed.
