Disabled REST API for Account

One of our clients has faced the issue that he can not make calls to Zoom REST API with valid credentials. We have investigated this page and found out ** Disable REST API for Account** feature, but we can not find this setting on Zoom Account settings page.

Does it feature still work and how to enable it?

Error message like , type=AUTHENTICATION
But this is not possible, because we received auth token just a second ago before this request!

I noticed that https://api.zoom.us/v2/users/me and https://api.zoom.us/v2/users/me/permissions both return Access to the Zoom REST API has been denied for this user. Contact Zoom Support for details. (not sure about other APIs since I don’t have direct access to tokens).

Only few customers are facing the error. The percentage of affected accounts is low, like 20-30 accounts out of 20k.

We’ve asked the customers to reinstall the app, but despite OAuth 2 authorization succeeded the error is still there. I can send you a list of account IDs if that helps.

I’m wondering what can be the cause of this error? Also, it makes me a bit confused, why would OAuth 2 let such an accounts (with disabled API) to pass trough.

Hey @hsintegration,

I am guessing we have disabled the API for that user due to them abusing our rate limits.

I suggest having those users reach out to us for a resolution.
