Do I Need to Get Approval for Beta Testing Before Submitting My App for Zoom Review?

Hello Zoom Community,

I’m currently developing an app and am preparing for the submission process for Zoom’s review. Before I move forward, I have a question regarding beta testing: Is it necessary to obtain specific approval from Zoom to conduct beta testing with a limited user group prior to submitting the app for official moderation?

I’d like to make sure I’m following all the guidelines to avoid any issues during the review process. Any insights from others who’ve gone through this would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

It’s not necessary. You can test it within your Zoom account and submit it for publishing. If you need to test externally, then you can go for the Authorization URL, but there are significant security requirements to get approved for it.
