How can webinar hosts on the app allow web attendees to talk?

Testing webinars with 1.7.9, web attendees join normally but trying to allow them to talk gives the error “Allow to talk is not available because XXX is using an older version of Zoom. Choose Promote to Panelist to allow XXX to talk.” on the app. Trying to promote the attendee to panelist just causes that web client to reload itself (no errors on the console). So, the attendee just rejoins the webinar and still can’t talk.

I don’t suppose this has to do with the meeting signature since the attendee should always be entering with role 0, right?

Appreciate any help. If this is still a limitation of the Web SDK, is there a possible workaround?

Thank you.
