Are there any plans to expand the IM functionality in the API? perhaps sending/receiving IMs this would be super helpful for an application we are developing

yes. we will be opening our IM for external apps to receive and post messages to individual users. Just watch for an update on this forum and we will announce it.

Hi, 

Our Engineering team is aware of the IM feature request, however, we have no timeline of when it will be released at this time. We will update everyone on the forum once the feature is ready for release.
