In-meeting switch between SDK app and desktop app

I’m using Android SDK 6.3.1.26548

We love the recent Zoom feature to switch between devices. It works great between the desktop app and the Zoom mobile phone app.

I’ve noticed that if I’m in an instant meeting my private app created using the SDK, when I click the “switch” button from the desktop app, my SDK goes from:
meetingStatus MEETING_STATUS_INMEETING error 0 internalErrorCode 0
to
meetingStatus MEETING_STATUS_DISCONNECTING error 0 internalErrorCode 0
and the call is seamlessly transferred to my desktop app. This works great!

My question: how can I go the other way?

I don’t know which endpoint will tell me that I’m in a current call so I can display the “Switch” button. I tried the Meetings API “users/me/meetings” endpoint with type upcoming. This should show “All upcoming meetings, including live meetings.” But since this was an instant meeting, I don’t see it on the calendar at all.

Which endpoint shows me the active meeting for my user (including instant meetings) so I can show the “Switch” button?

What process do I need to follow to perform the switch?

Asking again since this post has no replies.

We’ve taken this as far as we can without help. We call get /users/me/presence_status and it shows we’re in a meeting or presenting when the “switch” button should be active, but we can’t get any information about the meeting.

We also looked at the meetingService.joinMeetingWithParams() and do not find anything that lets us join the meeting in a way that kicks off the previous connection. So, even if we did have the information we needed to do the switch, the join appears not to support it. And we did not see any other calls that would do this, either.

So, this looks like a feature request.
