Max number of people on Web SDK call

Hi,
If I have a Pro account, with a large meeting add-on of 1000, the web SDK will allow 1000 meeting participants to video call into the chat? Similar to the question in Rate limits on joining meetings/webinars?

Is it possible to get an extra add-on for over 2000 people?
For 1000 people, will all these people appear in Video Gallery for the host, 49 at a time, over the 20ish pages?
Best,
Vinny

Hey @rossy,

Currently the Web SDK does not support gallery view, only self and speaker view.

As for the 1000 to 2000 people in the Web SDK, we suggest using the Zoom App, as it will preform better than the in browser Web SDK experience.

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi @tommy,
Yes, my use case is only for people calling into a room using the Web SDK, where the host is using the Zoom App/Video Gallery to run Video Gallery. I understand video gallery is still in the works for Web SDK, which is great(busy times for you, so much traffic your getting:).

  1. I am trying to understand what the limit of concurrent Web SDK connections is to Zoom App.
  2. Will these Web SDK connections still show as normal up to 1000(or more) in the Hosts Video Gallery.

Hey @rossy,

The Web SDK can support a few hundred participants.

Thanks for sharing your use case. We will release any limits associated with gallery view as we get closer to the release.

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi @tommy,
What happens once we hit that limit of a few hundred participants? Are people just unable to connect, video/audio reduces to be unusable or does the chat crash for everyone currently on it?
Vinny

Hey @rossy,

The users may have issues connecting. Current participants in the meeting will not be affected.

Thanks,
Tommy
