Missing records when comparing API to obtain attendance details Vs Standard report downloaded from Zoom Event

We are using API
/reports/event_attendance to get the attendance information.
We could obtain most of the records, except we found that 2 records with the following authentiation method and registration method were NOT extracted from the API:
Authentication Method - Sign in with a Zoom account,Fast join without upfront authentication (Anyone with the join link can access the event)
Registration Method - Group Join Link, Host pre-registration.

We wonder that may be the reason the API are not getting them. If so, is there a way around it?

hi @Optometry ,

Welceomto the forum

If you run the reports from zoom.us, do these records exist?

Hi John,
Thank you for replying our post.
Yes, the detail report that we downloaded from Zoom had these 2 missing records.
When comparing these 2 missing records with the records that were successfully extracted via API, we found that in the ‘detail report’, these 2 missing records’ authentication method was “Sign in with a Zoom account,Fast join without upfront authentication (Anyone with the join link can access the event)” , the registration method was “Group Join Link, Host pre-registration” , and # of Tickets was 2.

hi @Optometry

So could I suggest that the person who reigsterred avoided giving registration Info?
There are situations where you can join with just a zoom link and never give any info to zoom.
Maybe they exploited that.

It the data is not in the reports it is lost forever, or more likely never collected.

Hi John,
Thanks.
We believe that the attendees were NOT included in the Zoom API were existing Zoom account holders.
As these attendees already logged into Zoom BEFORE clicking the Zoom link, the Zoom attendee report recorded “Sign in with a Zoom account,Fast join without upfront authentication (Anyone with the join link can access the event)” in the authentication method.

Hi @Optometry
Are you still facing this issue?
