Sometimes hosts forget to enable the “mute participants on entry” when creating a meeting. it would be very convenient if the host could turn this on DURING a meeting, so you don’t have to manually mute every single participant that joins(maybe a little late) and forgets to turn off the Mic.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Zoom Developer Forum.
There is a setting that can be turned on at account level where you can Mute all participants when joining a meeting by default
You can find it on Admin tab > Account Management > Account Settings > Meetings > Schedule Meeting > Mute all participants when they join a meeting
Hi Elisa! thank you for the reply.
i am aware of the setting, but it does not quite solve the predicament here.
In this scenario i don’t want people to have to unmute every time they join my meetings. This could get annoying over time. i want the mic to be on for participants who join the meeting on time.
Imagine being the host for a meeting with like 20 people and people keep dropping in late with their mics on and maybe dont pay attention that it is on.This would interrupt an ongoing discussion. And to avoid that i would have to keep track on participants joining in and manually mute them
this is why i think being able to change this setting during the meeting (only for this particular meeting) would be a nice feature.
