Can we play some sort of music/audio file when a user is muted like would happen if the consumer is on hold?
Alternatively, I assume when the user mutes themselves then Zoom automatically stops forwarding any audio to the consumer. Is that true, or could a user mute themselves and we could still transmit audio saying “one moment” or something similar?
We’d also like to do something similar with hold, like before the consumer hears music but after the user has pressed hold, the consumer hears a customizable message, such as “you’re being placed on hold” but dynamically set to accommodate different languages
When a user mutes themselves in Zoom, their audio is no longer transmitted to the other participant. This means that if a user manually activates mute, the platform does not allow any audio—such as a system prompt or message—to be sent from their side to the consumer.
However, if the hold function is controlled through a Zoom SDK or a customized integration, it is possible to create a more refined experience. Before the consumer hears hold music, you can insert a brief, pre-recorded message such as “You’re being placed on hold.” This message can be dynamically set based on language preferences or user settings, ensuring a personalized and professional interaction.
Just as every Tillie Beads product is carefully handcrafted to deliver quality and attention to detail, the same approach can be applied to audio interactions—ensuring the consumer feels informed and acknowledged at every step.
