Opt-Out of Monetization

I am trying to update my app, but it is not letting me proceed with the update without onboarding to Monetization. From what I understand, monetization is optional, given the Zoom documentation and a reply to a post from @michael.zoom on this forum.

How do I proceed with updating my app without onboarding to monetization?

Hello,

Yes, this is optional. But the problem is if you select the option and try to remove it, it’s not possible; if the process has already started, just add a free plan to move forward.

1 - To Remove the Monetisation
2 - How can add the Free Plan?

Hi Bhushan,

Happy to help here. Once you add the monetization feature to your submission, it currently is not possible to remove it (we apologize for the confusion, but we are working on a fix that will allow developers to do so very soon).

To provide a free plan, please follow these steps:

1. Click on “Production” to see the Monetization feature available in the left-hand side menu
2. Click on Monetization
3. Fill in the required fields under FREE plan
4. Provide an email address for support (required)
5. Click on SAVE at the top of the page
6. Click on Continue at the bottom of the page
7. (optional) You can preview what the “card” for your free plan will look like on your app listing page by clicking on preview.
