Please allow emojis in user names when registering users through the API

I’m working on an application to manage breakouts in meetings. We’re registering users via the API (POST /meetings/{meetingId}/registrants) and want to prepend their name with an EMOJI, something like “:star2: Dirk”, but when they join the meeting, the EMOJI is replaced with a single dash, ie ‘- Dirk’. :sob:.

It would be nice to be able to add EMOJIs when users register.

I agree with you. Emojis should be allowed in user names :+1:

LITERALLY!! IT’S SO DEPRESSING!! But somehow, my friend was able to name herself :relaxed: and had no problem!! I asked her and she said she just inserted the emoji?!?
