Re: Audio Library - Add an audio item issue

I’m working with this Zoom Phone endpoint to add an audio items for text-to-speech conversion. (Zoom Phone API)

Once files are uploaded to the personal library via that endpoint, if they are moved to the public audios library, the audio content is present.

However, if I attempt to edit the prompt once it has moved, the TTS content is blank. I’m uploading and attempting to edit the file via the same account.

This seems to be more of an issue with the Zoom UI rather than the API itself.

The driver for this is the inability to upload files to the public audios library via the API, and using the personal audios API as a work around.

I was curious if you all had any input on this issue and why it could be occurring.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @aubreyengland
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Allow me some time to do some testing on my end and troubleshoot this and will get back to you with an update

Hey Elisa - any update on this? Thank you!

Hey @aubreyengland
I apologize for the late reply here!
I am trying to reproduce this on my end but I am having trouble finding the audio asset in the UI.
Are you able to find those in the Admin tab > Phone System Management > Assets Library?

Hi @elisa.zoom - no problem. So the issue seems to be if you upload a file to your personal asset library, and select the “Move to Assets Library”, then select the Language and Category, if you go to open and edit that same asset once it has moved, the audio content is there, but the text content is blank.

However, if you just edit the asset and update visibility to Asset Library (Public), both the audio and text content of the asset are there once it has moved.

I don’t suspect that this is intentional, so I assume it’s more of a UI bug, rather than a issue specific to the public facing API.

Hi @aubreyengland
