@donte.zoom any followups from your team yet?

@h.g, Thanks for following up. The logs have been shared, but currently there is no update available. I will keep you updated on its status.

@donte.zoom got it thanks, would you have an estimate on when this issue can be resolved?

I checked on the ticket and there is no update at this moment. I will nudge support on this again and keep you posted.

@donte.zoom thank you, appreciate the update!

@donte.zoom any follow ups from the team?

@h.g ,

I’ve checked with the team, and there is an optimization update for the Layer API (ZM-854825) scheduled for Zoom client version 6.4 that will significantly reduce the duration of the white screen flickering effect.

I’ve emphasized the importance of this feature for your use case to the internal team and will keep you updated on any developments.

@donte.zoom thanks for the update!

Is it just reducing the flickering? Or is it fixing the bug where any image drawn goes away? Reducing the flickering won’t solve the issue if the image still disappears.

@donte.zoom wanted to follow up on the above, thanks!

Also, when is 6.4 expected to be released?

@donte.zoom hey donte, just wanted to follow up on the above 2 questions:

  1. Is it just reducing the flickering? Or is it fixing the bug where any image drawn goes away? Reducing the flickering won’t solve the issue if the image still disappears.
  2. When is 6.4 expected to be released?

Thank you!

Have you raised this at Developer Office Hours?

@robmoz no, I didn’t know they were still being held. Do you know when the next one is?

Info is at the top of the dev forum home page. Looks like the next one is around Feb 26. Note you need to register.

Thanks robert, I’ll sign up.
