How to hide Annotation Pop-up during Screen Sharing on Android

Description We need to hide Annotation Button during Screen Sharing Session on Android, however we don’t see anything available to us to modify this. We are using Custom UI to modify the look and behavior of Zoom in our app [ZoomScreenShare]

Screen sharing shows buttons despite setCustomizedMeetingUIEnabled

I am using setCustomizedMeetingUIEnabled(true) in my Android app. As part of my app, I perform screen sharing into the meeting and still see the pair of “annotate” and “stop sharing” buttons on the screen. Should these buttons show up, when app has custom UI enabled? My account is free, but with a verified credit card. Should it be somehow enabled for custom UI use?

We are in the process of adding screen sharing to our app and we use a custom UI. Our devices don’t have touch screens and the overlay is unusable because of this. We would prefer to hide the overlay and make use of our own custom controls.

One workaround is for the user to avoid granting screen overlay permission. This hides the overlay on some devices, but not all.

Would love to see sharing controls customization show up in a future SDK release!

Since there has already been a feature request submitted for this behavior, I will follow up and let the team know that there has been an increase in demand for it.
