Screen sharing with KDE/Plasma on Wayland

Description
I want to open this support request to track progress of screen sharing with KDE/Plasma when running a Wayland session.

As of now (version 5.11.1.x), it shows a message saying it is supported on certain distributions and in GNOME only.

Based on comments I read in other threads, Zoom is now using xdg-desktop-portal and native Wayland API for screen sharing. However, it is still gated for non-GNONE desktop users.

Error?
Can not start share, we only support Wayland on GNOME with Ubuntu 17 and above, Fedora 25 and above, Debian 9 and above, CentOS 8 and above, OpenSUSE Leap 15 and above, Oracle Linux 8 and above, RHEL 8 and above, Mageia 7 and above, Arch Linux, AnterGos, Manjaro. If your OS is not on the list, please use x11 instead.

API Endpoint/s?
Unsure but this is related to screen sharing on Linux/Wayland that uses xdg-desktop-portal APIs. Hence, this should work with any desktop, not just GNOME.

How To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Install Zoom which running a desktop such as KDE/Plasma on any distribution
2. Start Zoom and authenticate
3. Start a new meeting
*4. Click Share Screen"
5. A pop-up is shown with the following message:
"Can not start share, we only support Wayland on GNOME with Ubuntu 17 and above, Fedora 25 and above, Debian 9 and above, CentOS 8 and above, OpenSUSE Leap 15 and above, Oracle Linux 8 and above, RHEL 8 and above, Mageia 7 and above, Arch Linux, AnterGos, Manjaro. If your OS is not on the list, please use x11 instead.

Additional context
Given that Zoom appears to use Wayland and xdg-desktop-portal, this limitation appears redundant. xdg-desktop-portal service is available for all desktops and provides same functionality on all desktops.
