Stuck at MEETING_STATUS_CONNECTING when joining via personalized link

Hey there,

So I am building a meeting bot that joins other account’s meetings and interacts with people. I have been testing it out for the last couple of months, and today I had an issue I have not had before. I should add that I am building off of the headless-linux-sample.

Here are the logs:

✅ configure
✅ initialize
✅ join a meeting
Meeting Status MEETING_STATUS_CONNECTING
⏳ connecting to the meeting

and then nothing happens. The bot does not join the waiting room.

Now the invite link that was used for this meeting was a bit special as it was a custom link: companyname.zoom.us but we have tried such links before and they worked. Another thing about the invite that was completely new was that it was a companyname.zoom.us/w/meetingid. We have tried /j/ before but never /w/ not sure what the difference is here.

Also, the host said that the link we used was their personal link, meaning that we were named her name when we joined the meeting, not sure if that has en impact either.

There were no SDK errors or anything, it just stopped logging and we had to force shut it down.

What could be the issue here?

Hey @noahviktorschenk ,

I haven’t seen meeting links with a /w/ in the URL come from a personal Zoom meeting room before. Typically meetings with this structure should be for a webinar, not for a personal meeting room.

Is your bot able to join other meetings created by this same user?
