Total newbie question on zoom API

Hi All,

I have been looking at the zoom api and could not find what I am looking for. What I am after is a possibility to connect an AI to a zoom video/teleconference. The AI should show up in the participant list with a chosen name, be able to receive the audio stream and be able to speak. It should also be able to receive the chat stream and inject messages. Is this possible with the API at all?

Cheers
Uwe

Hey @uwe.lammers,

Thank you for reaching out to the Zoom Developer Forum. While this isn’t possible with the API we are working on a feature that will allow you to create apps that run directly in the Zoom meeting. Currently this feature, called Zoom Apps, is in a closed beta.

You can find out more about the feature here.

Likewise, it’s possible to use a virtual camera and microphone with one of our SDKs (for example the Web SDK). However, this would require a human to interact with the SDK and enable audio/video for a meeting.

Thanks,
Max
