In API documentation for request PATCH /users/{userId}/settings said, that parameter “annotation” allows/not allows for participants to use annotation tools. But on practice this parameter affect not only participants, but the host too and nobody can use annotations, when it setted to false.

This also happens with the Annotation setting on your profile. The functionality is correct, but the wording of “participants” should be changed.

I will talk to the team to update the text in the settings and docs to say “Allow annotation tools” or “Allow annotation tools for host and participants”.
