What are the effects of toggling “List my app in the EU” to False for DSA?

Hi @donte.zoom,

I went to office hours for clarification on the meaning behind the DSA email and what it means to toggle “List my app in the EU” to False since we do not need anyone to add our app.

From my understanding of the Zoom docs, this action means that my app will not be listed in the Zoom marketplace:
“In order for users in the EU to add your app, regulations require additional information to be collected”

I want clarification that for my specific use-case, delisting is all that will happen.
Will that have any affect on EU users using the SDK integration in our own application?

Our use-case is:

  • We are not collecting any data from users.
  • Our admin users create meetings through Zoom console, not our app.
  • Our end users are just participants in a meeting.
  1. We have a web application where certain admins can can post a link to a meeting they create in Zoom. https://zoom.us/j/meeting_id?pwd=password for example.

  2. With this link, we create a flow where general users can go to our other web application (the application with zoom sdk) and join the meeting through:ZoomMtg.init({ }) and ZoomMtg.join({ }) and the meeting information provided by the admin.

Will toggling “List my app in the EU” to False affect this flow?
Will a user in UK still be able to go to our end user application, and join meetings?

Hi @donte.zoom,

Just replying for visibility.

Thanks,
Kurt

I spoke with Marketplace leadership about this matter, and your case should not have any impact. Please let me know if you need any clarification or have remaining questions.
