While scheduling a meeting through API, can we disable chat?


We want to create an App and use Zoom for video collaboration. However, we want to keep the record of all the chat messages in our database.
I came across this link which says we can’t retrieve the chat logs of a meeting. In that case, we would like our users to use our in-house chat. To enforce this behavior, we would need to disable the chat in Zoom calls that we schedule/start.

Is there a way to achieve that?

Unfortunately you cannot disable In Meeting Chat with the Meeting API.

Here is how to disable in meeting chat via the Zoom Web Portal, and via the API.

If you use on of our SDKs, you can disable / enable Chat on a per meeting basis.
