Will changing the Redirect URL for OAuth require an upgrade submission?

Description
We just acquired a new domain for an app that has already been approved for publishing in Marketplace. Changed the Redirect URL for OAuth and other settings/ parameters, but we’re now getting Invalid redirect: ******* (4,700). Do we need to submit the app again for upgrade/ update approval?

Error
Invalid redirect: ******* (4,700)

Which App?
https://marketplace.zoom.us/apps/pMr-mfzZSoayrPLwr_JoLA

How To Reproduce (If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Visit https://gameroom.app
  2. Click “Login with Zoom” button
  3. Install the app
  4. Invalid redirect error comes out

Hey @stipoy ,

Yes, you will need to submit an update request for your change to take affect for your published app.

It should not take long for us to approve it.

Thanks,
Tommy

Thanks Tommy. Submitted the change and it was approved already. It seems to work on some users now, but I still get the Invalid Redirect error on some users and when not logged in to Zoom yet. Hope you can take a look.

App name is gameroom. The new URL is https://gameroom.app

Thanks!

Hey @stipoy ,

Can you please provide a screenshot of this error? Which request is the error coming from, the authorize url, or the POST request to get an access token?

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi Tommy,

the error happens with the authorize url.
here’s a video grab of what’s happening.

hope this helps.

Hey @stipoy ,

Is that the development or production redirect url? And have you added this url in your whitelist settings?

Any new redirect url will work with the development env, and once your app update is approved, it will work with the production env.

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi Tommy,

This is for the production redirect URL, yes i’ve previously added it to the whitelist settings and requested for the app upgrade, which was approved already.

in any case, i’ve updated some screenshots and video of the app information, and resubmitted for approval.
hopefully this fixes the redirect URL and whitelist settings as well.

thanks,
Stephen

Thanks for letting us know you have resubmitted your app @stipoy .

If your app is not fixed once the update request is approved, please let us know and we will look further into this issue.
