Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my published Zoom Marketplace app “Multiverse” (OAuth type).
On May 29 at 1:42 PM JST, I updated the app’s OAuth Redirect URL to: https://nlptest.netlearning.co.jp/ns/login/LogIn.aspx?...
and submitted a “Request to upgrade” at the same time.
However, when I install the app from the Zoom Marketplace and click “Allow” on the Zoom Authorization screen, the user is still redirected to the old URL: https://76d1a98e6add7b872cbbc8654357d606.netlearning.co.jp/ns/login/LogIn.aspx?...
You can reproduce the issue by going to: App Marketplace
→ Click “Add” → Click “Allow” → redirected to old domain.
It seems that even though the redirect URL has been updated and submitted for upgrade, the Marketplace installation flow is still using the previous URL.
Is this expected behavior (e.g. pending cache refresh or internal delay), or is there something I may have overlooked in the configuration?
What you’re seeing is expected behavior. When you submit a “Request to upgrade” with changes to fields like the OAuth Redirect URL, those updates don’t go live until the request is reviewed and approved by the Zoom App Marketplace team.
In the meantime, the live app continues to use the previously approved redirect URL until the upgrade is approved and published. That’s why the install flow is still redirecting to the old domain.
Just to confirm — even if we are only updating the OAuth Redirect URL (with no changes to scopes or other settings), we still need to go through the “Publish your app > App Submission > Submit” process for the change to take effect. Is that correct?
Also, could you kindly let us know how long the approval process typically takes for this type of change?
We’d appreciate a rough estimate — for example, are we looking at a few hours, a few days, or even a few weeks until the updated redirect URL is published?
Thank you again for your support. Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved:
The redirect URL is still not being updated in the install flow.
Although the app appears to have been approved on June 5, users are still being redirected to the old URL.
Could you please confirm whether clicking Publish (after approval) is the correct next step to push the updated redirect URL live and resolve this issue?
As you suggested, I was able to verify that the updated callback URL is now reflected correctly after clicking the Publish button — thank you!
Just to confirm, is the following process correct when we want to update the callback (redirect) URL in the future?
I make the necessary changes and resubmit the app for review
Zoom reviews and approves the changes (which usually takes 2–3 days)
I click the Publish button to push the changes live
Also, to clarify — based on our current conversation, am I correct in understanding that the issue I raised was not a bug, but expected behavior when the Publish step is not yet completed?
Yes, that’s correct the way your app is currently set up, changes like the callback (redirect) URL won’t take effect until you click the Publish button after our team approves the update.
So your outlined process is spot on:
You make changes and resubmit for review
Zoom reviews and approves the changes
You click Publish to push them live
And you’re also correct that this wasn’t a bug just expected behavior when the Publish step hasn’t been completed yet.
Glad I could help! Let me know if you have any other questions.
