Zoom For Lightning

We have installed the “Zoom For Lightning” app in our Salesforce instance. However, we encountered an issue: after completing a meeting, the “Participant” field does not store all the participant names due to a character limit of 255 characters. We would appreciate it if the “Participants” field could be updated to accommodate more names. For example, if 40 people join a call, we need all of their names to be populated in the field. Increasing the character limit to 1500 characters would be very helpful for our needs.

Additionally, we have another question: Does the “Zoom for Lightning” app have the capability to fetch participants from the waiting room? If so, could you please guide us on what changes need to be made to enable this feature? Also, are there any available API options for this functionality?

Both of these matters are quite urgent for us, and we would greatly appreciate a prompt response.

Thank you for your support!

Hi Elisa,

Thank you for your response. I have another question, can you please check that?

Question:
We have installed the “Zoom for Lightning” package in Salesforce. When we create a recurring Zoom meeting in Zoom, the “Recurring Zoom Meeting” record is created in Salesforce. However, after the meeting is completed, the sync updates the parent record status to “Completed” instead of the child record, even though there is a child record with the same meeting date/time.

For example, if I create a recurring Zoom meeting with two occurrences, it will create three “Zoom Meetings” in Salesforce: one parent and two child records. The parent and the first child will have the meeting date/time set to today, while the second occurrence will have the meeting date/time set to tomorrow. If we start today’s meeting and complete it, the status of the parent Zoom meeting is updated to “Completed.” However, it should update the status of today’s child Zoom meeting to “Completed” instead of the parent record.

Hi there @venkatesh.b
Can you please report this issue in the same support ticket I filed for you?
I am not familiar with the integration and our support team is who manages these issues

Hi Elisa,
I’m not able to reply on the same ticket that you filed for me. So I raised new tickets.

Thanks

Thanks @venkatesh.b
When filing support tickets, make sure to mention that you need support for the Zoom for lightning integration … that way it won’t get redirected
