Zoom not accepting either .plist or .mobileconfig preference settings

Hi All

  • Successfully deployed Zoom to Intune-managed corporate macOS devices running macOS 14.4.1.
  • I deployed a customized us.zoom.config.plist file via Intune - Preference Profile. The deployed file is located in /Library/Managed Preferences. However, Zoom’s default behavior isn’t changing at all. I’ve tried restarting my test Mac, reinstalling Zoom (both zoomInstallerIT and zoomInstallerFull), and pushing different plist content, including the Zoom sample plist, but nothing seems to be working.
  • I have also attempted to manually place the us.zoom.config.plist in /Library/Preferences, but this didn’t work at all.
  • I have also attempted .mobileconfig file as well, but it didn’t work.

Any advice on how to deploy the customized plist and have the preferences settings applied to Zoom would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same situation, and the only thing that seems to be partially working is a mobileconfig that I generated via iMazing Profile Editor, which, however - after a while - triggers a continuous request to update the Zoom client (despite being up-to-date) and which I cannot therefore keep active in production because it interrupts the regular work of the users.

Installation of the PKG package is successful (I am using https://zoom.us/client/latest/ZoomInstallerIT.pkg), the problem is just configuring the client via preferences set by the IT department via Intune.

The solutions proposed by Zoom’s KB seem to no longer work properly. Is anyone able to help out?
