How to support ZoomGov accounts with an OAuth app

Description
We have a customer of our OAuth app that is migrating to ZoomGov.com. I don’t see documentation anywhere for how to authorize with ZoomGov.com. The customer says that the login does not work on zoom.us for them. When I tried altering our oauth flow to use zoomgov.com instead of zoom.us it gives an an Invalid client_id: message.

What are the recommended guidelines for making sure your app is ready for ZoomGov.com use?

Error
Invalid client_id:

Which App Type (OAuth / Chatbot / JWT / Webhook)?
OAuth

Which Endpoint/s?
OAuth

How To Reproduce (If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Make an Zoom OAuth application
  2. Try to authenticate with a ZoomGov.com account

Hey @smurray,

Currently ZoomGov does not support 3rd party applications.

Thanks,
Tommy

Thanks for the response @tommy.

If ZoomGov does not support 3rd party applications then this messaging is very confusing

Is there a timeline for when they will be supported?

Hi @smurray,

We appreciate the feedback and will pass this along to our team to see if we can make this a bit clearer going forward. While we don’t have any timelines to share at this moment, you can always keep an eye on our Changelog and Upcoming Changes to see what’s on our roadmap.

Best,
Will

Hi Tommy,
It seems confusing.
There is no plan to support 3rd party apps with Zoomgov? It appears that Slack already is being supported with Zoomgov.com.
Could you clarify on your statement “3rd party applications not being supported”?
Thanks,

Hey @ashchukin,

The Slack integration is built internal by us (Zoom). We are investigating the possibility of opening up the Zoom App Marketplace to our Gov Cloud.

Thanks,
Tommy
