One user has been using a rode microphone and has been experienced audio issues (his audio has cut out 3 times randomly in the middle of the session). After switching to the his device’s built in microphone, it seems like the audio does not cut out like it does with the rode.
We see that he is getting the active-media-failed event with the error code ActiveMediaFailedCode.AudioStreamEnded & can’t access your microphone as the error message. For more context, he also mentioned the audio never cuts out with the rode mic on the zoom app (not web).
The session id is LzaXJvlZTEOSfwcxr+mn8g==
It would be appreciated if you could check why this may be happening. Thank you
Thanks for the report. The AudioStreamEnded error usually means the browser lost access to the Rode mic — this can be due to OS-level or browser restrictions.
Could you please ask the user to:
Share the browser name + version.
Check for any OS/browser mic restrictions.
Confirm if the Rode mic is connected directly via USB or through an interface.
Also, any interfering extensions or antivirus software could be worth checking. Since it works fine in the Zoom app, it’s likely browser-specific.
Let me know once you have this info so we can dig deeper.
