Alternate/Alias LMS URL for LTI Calls

Using this template helps us debug your issues more effectively

Description
We are using scheduling system TimeEdit with Canvas LMS, together with a homegrown Canvas ADMIN console (LMS ADMIN) that uses another URL. When we create Zoom meetings via the LTI link in Canvas, we end up with 2 calendar events in the course ā€“ one from TimeEdit and one from Zoom, both referring to the same event.

We want to automate the Zoom event creation by making an LTI request from our LMS ADMIN(a homegrown platform), and then push the Zoom meeting data into Canvas LMS together with data coming from our TimeEdit scheduler, to merge the calendar events into as they go into Canvas.

Can we make the LTI Call from our LMS ADMIN platform as if it came from our Canvas platform?

Please help. Thanks!

Hey @donbalbieran,

Thank you for reaching out to the Zoom Developer Forum. Unfortunately, Iā€™m not familiar with TimeEdit but Iā€™m not aware of a feature that would allow you to operate LTI from your server.

You may want to look into creat/ng a middleware application that is able to take information from Zoom and TimeEdit to create the event.

A community member may also be more familiar with this configuration.

Thanks,
Max
