Alternative hosts not receiving email notifications after being added to a meeting

We’re using Zoom API v2 to create and edit meetings. When we add alternative hosts, they don’t receive an email notification even when we have configured they should always receive emails at the account level and we’re specifying the email notification flag with "alternative_hosts_email_notification": true,

Everything works OK when we’re using the Zoom client to do the same steps. Email notifications are also triggered without issues when our developer user their own Zoom account instead of ours. Any ideas?
