API doesn't acknowledge auto_recording settings

I created a custCreate user and created a meeting specifying “auto_recording”: “cloud”, but it always comes back as “auto_recording”: “none”,

It only works if I created the session using the administrator account

1] Is the custCreate user a basic user? If yes, then they do not have access to the cloud recording. In that case, this is an expected response.

2] If not a basic user, and still getting the discrepancy, then please send me the exact payload that you are passing in the JSON format, so that I can take a look.
