I’ve tried to resolve this issue through a support ticket (TS1666154), but apparently, they cannot assist me and have recommended posting my problem here.
Our Zoom app has been approved for about two years, and over 3,500 users rely on it to integrate their Zoom accounts with Kartra, a SaaS platform that allows them to schedule appointments via Kartra Calendars.
We attempted to resubmit the app with all the required information to comply with the new EU regulations. However, when doing so, we encountered this message(for some reason I cannot submit the post with uploaded images or with links): 1.png - Google Drive
This is the Scopes page : 2.png - Google Drive
We haven’t modified the app since it was originally approved. When we first submitted the app, the meeting:read
scope did not require a description, or somehow, the description was lost during the transition to the new format.
I have now provided a description for the meeting:read
scope, along with all other newly required details for EU compliance. However, when attempting to submit the app for review, I received this error message: 3.png - Google Drive
As I mentioned in the support ticket, we did not change the app’s scopes—we did not add or remove any. The only modification was filling in the now-mandatory scope description.
We cannot go through the reauthorization process because our platform does not support it. Our users would need to remove and re-add the app, which would delete all Zoom meetings created in their accounts through Kartra. This would have a significant impact and is not an option for us.
We do not have the time or resources to implement and deploy a reauthorization process within such a short timeframe. Additionally, this would require communication with affected users and could cause major disruptions to their workflow.
We need a way to submit the app with the scope description filled in—without triggering the scope change validation—so that reauthorization is not required.
Thank you for your support!
