Clarification on when we need to provide banking info to be listed in the EU

We have a published Zoom App. Our app integrates with software that we charge money for, but we do not directly charge people to use the app. IE the app is not monetized.

We’re unclear on whether apps that fall into this bucket need to provide banking information to be listed in the EU.

According to this link: Submission Checklist - Zoom Developers we wouldn’t need to provide this information, because the app itself is not monetized.

But in the marketplace submission portal, there’s this text:

This text makes it sound like we do need to provide the info, because although the app itself is not monetized, our business does have offerings that require payment.

The two sources seem contradictory, so I’m unsure if the banking info is required. Can someone let me know what to do?

Hi Noah,

We agree that the discrepancies in the resources you shared are confusing. We noticed them too and we actually have some updates to our documentation page going live today

To confirm, the ‘You seek to earn income through your application or services connected to it’ checkbox must be checked by any app that is owned and maintained by a valid business entity, as opposed to an individual hobbyist developer.

If you are a business, you will need to provide this information for your app to be accessible by EU Zoom Customers.

Let me know if this answers your question.

Best,
Virginie
