We have installed the standard official Zoom app in Slack to use the MCP integration with Slackbot (for pulling in meeting recaps, etc). A fresh install works for a little bit and then starts to give token refresh errors.
From Slackbot: “Looks like the Zoom connection needs a token refresh on your end right now — I’m hitting an auth error trying to pull the notes directly from Zoom. Could you try reconnecting Zoom (or re-authorizing it in Slack’s app settings), and I’ll try again?”
This happens consistently. The log of the error is “MCP tool execution failed: max_retries_exceeded: {“error”:“token_refresh_needed: retry_request”,“extended”:null}”
This seems to be an authentication issue somewhere, but we’re struggling to find what configuration settings need to be changed to fix this.
