We are building an application that will connect companies and freelancers, one of the features that the application has is to be able to do 1:1 video calls between any given company and resource. what would be the best approach for this?
Also, does every user needs a pro account? or can we use 1 pro account that belongs to our company to provide the 1:1 video calling functionality

You can choose to host the Zoom Meeting on your end via the Client Web SDK, or just open the Zoom app with the join_url and start_url.
If you want the meetings to last more than 40 minutes, then you will want to have the host be a paid user. Due note the restrictions with holding concurrent meetings with a single host.
