Duplicate participants when refreshing

Description
When I refresh the meeting page, Zoom think that I’m new in meeting and I need to be admitted on the meeting.
If I’m the host and then I refresh, I lose my host status, the host is declared like already on the meeting.
And to join another meeting, I have to go on my zoom.us account, my meetings et stop manually the meeting.
It’s juste horrible.

  1. Go to the meeting
  2. Refresh your page
  3. Look at participants

Thanks for reaching out about this, and happy to clarify.

To that end, I should note that if you refresh your browser, Zoom considers this a disconnect event—which is why you’re noticing this behavior which is expected. When you rejoin the session after the page has finished reloading, the older user sessions may appear for a few minutes, but these will be disappear shortly thereafter to reflect the new status of participants.
