Error Code 3000 : While Joining a Webinar as Attendee

Description
I got an error when I was trying to join a webinar as attendee with the email marked in the panelist.

Error

Which version?
I’m getting “Something went wrong” when I’m trying to access the webinar as attendee. I faced the same issue in zoom webclient for Firefox and Chrome.

Link to initial Webinar : https://zoom.us/s/{webinarID}
Link to join Webinar as attendee : https://zoom.us/j/{webinarID}

To Reproduce(If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. I created a webinar having one panelist (eg.asd@gmail.com). I didnt send any invitation to panelist.
  2. I started a webinar with licenced account in Google Chrome.
  3. Then I logged into incognito for Google Chrome and joined the webinar with panelist email using the attendee link.
  4. Got the error in Chrome. So I tried Firefox, but the error was the same.

I dont want to sent invitation to panelist as they are going to join the webinar from our virtual platform environment.

Device (please complete the following information):
Google Chrome Version 86.0.4240.183 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Hey @khanmdmudassir,

Are you still seeing this error? Can I ask which version of the Web SDK you are using?

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi @tommy,

I’m not using Web SDK for the above scenario. I’m using Zoom’s official web client link.

i.e. I’m redirecting users to zoom using below link.
URL : https://zoom.us/j/{webinarID}

I will try to work with Web SDK and replicate this issue.

Just for your reference I’m using Web SDK 1.8.1 - https://github.com/zoom/sample-app-web/tree/master/CDN

Hey @khanmdmudassir,

For any Zoom Web Client issues, please reach out to support.zoom.us. :slight_smile:

Thanks,
Tommy
