Error “INVALID_OPERATION: The account of the meeting disabled the cloud recording” even though the settings are enabled

Hello Zoom Team and Community,

We are facing an issue when trying to start cloud recording in our meetings via the API. The response we receive from Zoom is as follows:

However, we have thoroughly checked all the settings in our admin panel, and the cloud recording option is enabled globally, as well as at the user and group levels.

What we have already tried:

  • We confirmed that the meeting host has cloud recording permissions enabled.
  • Cloud recording settings are enabled at both the account and individual levels.
  • The meeting is being created via API with the option "auto_recording": "cloud".
  • The account plan is active and includes cloud recording.

We would like to understand why this error still persists and what else might be blocking the feature, even though all permissions seem to be correctly configured.
