Hi,
I have strange problem.
I use Client We SDK and users are joining meeting in “guest” role:
guest can see and hear host
host can see and hear guests
guest can see host and other guests
BUT
guests CANNOT hear each other
Is it something wrong in meeting settings or what?
And when user join meeting from desktop app (in guest role) everything is ok.

Could you confirm the version of the SDK that you are using please? Are you using different versions of the SDK for different role types?

Hello!
I am having similar issue.
Everyone can hear host.
No one can hear guests.
“@zoomus /websdk”: “^1.8.3”
We tried this with multiple browsers including chrome 87.0.4280.88.
The mic icon in footer menu indicates that guest is talking but neither host nor other guests can hear.
I am not sure if this is related but “fps error” logs in console every 3 seconds. I think this is new since i do not remember seeing it before.

I updated version to 1.8.5 and it works now.

Host is using desktop application because in SDK it is impossible to get sound from powerpoint presentation.
I used 1.8.1, now I changed to 1.8.5 and it works…

1.8.3 no longer supports audio.
As mentioned above, you need to use at least 1.8.5 going forward.

Thank you for reaching out to the Zoom Developer Forum. I can confirm the information provided by @alexmayo is correct. Version 1.8.5 brought with it a required update in order to continue to use audio. We have more information on that here .
