HD Video Quality Not Working in Zoom App

I am using a Pro plan and have enabled “HD video quality for meetings” in my account settings.
When I host a meeting through the official Zoom website, the Zoom client app launches as expected.
In the video settings of the Zoom app, I have checked the HD option, which I understand should allow HD video.

However, even when I check the statistics under the Video tab during a meeting, the resolution only goes up to 640x360, and neither sending nor receiving reaches 720p.

Sometimes I also create meetings using the Zoom API from my own web server.
In this case as well, the resolution only goes up to 640x360.

I have checked all possible factors such as network conditions, number of participants, and camera quality, but the resolution does not automatically upgrade to HD.
We use Zoom meetings through our web server, and now we are facing complaints from clients about poor video quality for both presenters and participants.

I would appreciate any prompt assistance regarding this issue. Thank you.

hi @sooni125

  1. Pro plan does not guarantee 720p in all cases

Run the Zoom app and join a meeting, then access settings
There is a tab called statistics, and then you can select video to see what is being sent and received. Then you will see if the video is created at 720p

Zoom only sends one video feed, so if you have a device in the meeting with lower standards like a phone or tablet, Zoom could downgrade everyone to cope.

if you still think you are not being given the video quality you expect, raise a support ticket. 720p was not available in the past and was being rolled out to everyone.
There is nothing we can do from this forum. A support ticket will allow them to check your account directly.

all the best
