Dear zoom
I’m a teacher and I want to my student can go into my zoom room.
I try to find many solution to disable waiting room. Because I want my student don’t wait for “host”. But I do many solution follow your step
I go to account setting > meeting > security >disable waiting room (and click lock), so it look to be okey but when I try to join in zoom room. It still bring me to waiting room.

Please help me

hi @P_Jeab

Welcome to the community.

You say you disabled the waiting room. Are you doing this in your settings or for that specific meeting?

Why does the student want to join the meeting before you. if they are a free user then it will become a free meeting and close after 40 minutes. A paid user needs to attend the meeting.

All the best

Dear John

Thanks for your reply,
I do disable the waiting room in my setting.
I paid for meeting ID but my students are free user.

Could you tell me, if I paid for meeting ID, it ‘need’ a paid user join meeting every time or the meeting room can open by anyone?

hi @P_Jeab
A paid user must create the meeting and join it.
Otherwise, zoom will assume it as a free meeting and limit to 40 minutes.,

You CAN NOT create a paid meeting and then leave free users to be the only visitors.
No matter what workaround you do to allow them in.

Zoom expect a paid user to run their meetings.
You can not create a room and then let free users visit when they like.
That is just the way zoom was made and licenced
all the best

I am having the same problem. If it let a free user join but kept a 40-minute limit that would be a huge improvement. But it does not let anyone join, paid or free.
