I’m encountering an “Invalid Meeting ID” error when starting recurring meetings scheduled via Outlook on my Zoom Pro account (Windows 11, Zoom Workplace app v5.17.2, Outlook 365). The issue affects all recurring meetings created this month; one-time meetings work fine. Environment: Chrome 126, Zoom Outlook Plugin v5.14. Error: “Invalid Meeting ID (3001).”
Steps tried:
Updated Zoom app, Outlook plugin, and Windows.
Regenerated meeting IDs in Zoom Portal (Meetings > Edit).
Cleared Zoom app cache (%appdata%\Zoom).
Recreated meetings in Outlook; same error.
Tested on Firefox 126 and Zoom web client; issue persists.
Logs show: “Meeting ID validation failed.” Could this be an Outlook plugin sync issue or server-side glitch? Any tips for debugging or workarounds for recurring meetings? Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks for posting in the Zoom Developer forum! I see you are getting Invalid Meeting ID hen starting recurring meeting. Have you tested using the regenerated meeting id through the client or web portal ?
Thanks for the quick response! I regenerated the meeting ID via the Zoom Portal and tested it on both the Zoom Workplace app (v5.17.2) and web portal—same “Invalid Meeting ID (3001)” error for recurring meetings. One-time meetings work fine. Could the Outlook plugin’s sync be causing this? -
Thanks for your help! I regenerated the meeting ID in the Zoom Portal and tested it on the Zoom Workplace app (v5.17.2) and web client—still getting “Invalid Meeting ID (3001)” for recurring meetings. Non-recurring meetings work fine. Could this be an Outlook plugin version mismatch?
