Is there any possible timeline for a Zoom Phone - Send SMS API Endpoint

Hey, I was curious if there is any possible timeline related to a Send SMS scope for the Zoom Phone API. From what I see in another closed out thread, it looks like SMS was “on the roadmap” around a year ago.

We’re trying to determine if we can take a step into Zoom Phone since it offers some great functionality for our team with group SMS but not being able to use automations to send SMS through our CRM is a big road block.

Zoom Phone doesn’t have a native SMS API endpoint for sending text messages. However, Zoom regularly updates its features and APIs, so it’s possible they may introduce this functionality in the future. Keep an eye on their official announcements or developer documentation for any updates on this.

I am not sure why Zoom has not opened the SMS API, but other providers like Zoho Voice and Jive Goto Meeting have recently published their APIs.

This is the one thing we are waiting for before we can switch to Zoom from RingCentral.

Rolling into 2025 we are evaluating systems and trying to find out if there’s a timeline for a POST SMS Endpoint?

We’d need something like this:

How in the world does one of the largest communications companies not have this available already. Insane.
