License Requirements and Trial Options for Integrating Zoom Phone with Salesforce

Hello Zoom Team,

I am working on integrating Zoom with Salesforce to enable direct phone calling from within the Salesforce environment. I have a few questions regarding this integration:

  1. License Requirements: Could you confirm what type of Zoom Phone license is required for that integration with Salesforce? I want to ensure I have the correct license to use Zoom Phone features within Salesforce.

  2. Trial License: Is there a free trial license available specifically for Zoom Phone that would allow me to test this integration before committing to a full license?

  3. Per-User Licensing: Do I understand correctly that each user connects their own Zoom account and, if required, needs an individual Zoom Phone license rather than an organization-wide license?

Any guidance or additional tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @maks.vitko, apologies on the delay here. Welcome

I can add trial licenses for Zoom Phone to your account. I’ll DM you to verify the account you want to use.

To use APIs for Zoom products, an account/user will need access to those products. When we set you up with a Zoom Phone enabled account that mirrors your intended users, you’ll be able to develop the integration you intend. Let me know here or in the DM if there’s something you’re specifically looking to support.

To start, you’ll want to add Zoom Phone features to a Zoom Workplace user. This admin guide is probably the best place to start. When I add licenses to your developer account, you’ll get the ability to add Zoom Phone features to a user, then you’ll need to assign them a number. Then, APIs and other features like Smart Embed, client SDKs, and calling/voicemail, etc will work.

You’re right on number 3. First create a Zoom user, then add Zoom Phone features (license) to that user. Then, add a number and any other features you want to integrate with.
