Local video low resolution

Hello,

We are running the Android Client SDK on a camera device that provides HDMI output to a connected display.

When starting a new meeting the local display (camera to HDMI output) is low resolution, seems to be 360p. How can we change this to 720p?

I understand there are factors that drive resolution for remote participants (Group HD, etc…) and we have those configured properly. With the proper configuration we do see 720p for remote participants - but local resolution remains very low.

thanks.

Hi @rjn, thanks for using our SDK.

Can you please confirm the device make/model/Android version and the SDK version you are using?

Thanks!

Hi Jon,

We are using SDK version v5.5.1.1319.

The device is our own hardware design on the Qualcomm 670/710 platform running Android 9.

thanks

Hi @rjn,

Thanks for confirming. Are you able to reproduce this behavior on any standard Android devices, or is it only present when running the SDK on your own custom hardware? Also, are you able to reproduce this in the sample app included with the SDK?

Thanks!

Hi Jon,

We were able to resolve this by changing the resolution options available to Zoom SDK from the camera.

thanks for the quick responses…

Glad to hear you were able to resolve this!

Please don’t hesitate to reach back out with any additional questions. :slightly_smiling_face:
