Marketplace : Unable to update OAuth Allow List

Our application is already listed / published in the Zoom Marketplace
Now we want to update our application to include another Endpoint in the OAuth Allow List.

There is an error showing up in the Web user interface for which we need your help:

I am editing our existing application form.

in the section “OAuth Allow List” I’m trying to add
https (colon, slash, slash) localhost:9876/someAuth
as a new entry

but when navigating to another field, I’m getting an error displayed at the top right:
“failed_to_update_oauth_client”

Can you kindly help to fix this issue???

If your app is already published, you have to add the new URL and submit the app for an update request. You can read more about them here: Updating an App - Distribute - Zoom Developer Docs

Why does the form throw an error with no further explanation?
and why is the field editable then?

Is your comment still valid when the ask is to keep the remaining endpoint unmodified and just add a secondary one?

I just tested edited the application in order for an update to be submitted. However, it does not allow me to add another Oauth endpoint.
A banner is alerting me that it will take 4+ weeks for the full submission process. Sorry, we really can not wait a month or more for adding one entry to the OAuth Allow Lists

Can you please provide guidance ?

What’s the name of the app? I can take a look and try to replicate the issue because this looks like an app/account-specific issue.

I’m sorry; I just got the request approved; there was a mix-up. Really sorry about this; it should have been approved a long time ago. We’ve made some changes to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for taking action, I just tried to update the OAuth Allow Lists, (in the development tab) and the result is the same. I’m getting the same error. (“fail_to_update_oauth_client” displaying at the top right)

A week has passed without any comments nor a solution.

This error usually happens because Zoom does not allow localhost URLs in the OAuth Allow List for published apps.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Try this:

Use a real HTTPS domain instead of localhost
Or use a tool like a public tunnel (e.g. ngrok) to generate a valid HTTPS URL

After replacing localhost with a valid public URL, the error should be fixed.
