Updating the Allow List urls in your OAuth App

Description

Hi, we are trying to update our OAuth marketplace app (already published) to add a new url to our allow list. Note, we are just adding a another url and not removing any existing ones. Also we need to ensure our current urls will not be impacted with this change. We are not sure what the correct steps to do so are and we were not able to find any detailed guide regarding this as well. Can you please help us achieve this?

What we have done so far

So far we have gone to our app’s “App Credentials” Page which looks something like (https://marketplace.zoom.us/develop/apps/<HIDDEN_ID>/credentials) and added our new url in the Add Allow List section at the bottom of the page. Then we clicked the Continue button to proceed through all the pages and get the Submit page (https://marketplace.zoom.us/develop/HIDDEN_ID>publish).

We haven’t submitted it for review as we are not sure what we have done so far is even correct? If we are supposed to submit this review then can you please help with the “manual domain verification”? Also please let me know if we have missed any important step(s)!

Let me know if you need any additional information to help with this query. Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi @engineeringsupport ,

Since you are adding new urls but are not removing any existing urls, I believe your existing urls should not be affected.
However for the new urls to come into effect you would need to resubmit your app for review.

Further from what I recall there is a limit of 30 urls that you can add, but I will let @elisa.zoom confirm on that

Hi @engineeringsupport and thanks @Harsh4 for your input!
And yes, if you add new urls to your allow list, you will have to resubmit your app for review.
This submission won’t affect current users of your app and it should be a pretty straightforward process.
Cheers,
Elisa

Thanks for your response everyone!

@elisa.zoom on the submit for review page, to complete the validation step before I submit my review can you please help me with the Manual Domain Validation Step? It says I have to create a post and “a Marketplace specialist will respond with steps for you to complete a manual domain verification”.

Thanks

I will send you a DM and help you on this
Please follow up there
Cheers,
Elisa

We’re currently in the process of updating our OAuth marketplace app, specifically by adding a new URL to the allow list. It’s important to note that we’re only adding a new URL and not removing any existing ones. Our main goal is to ensure that our current URLs won’t be affected by this addition.

Here’s what we’ve done so far:

  1. Accessed the “App Credentials” page (App Marketplace<HIDDEN_ID>/credentials).
  2. Added the new URL in the “Add Allow List” section.
  3. Clicked “Continue” to navigate through the pages and reached the “Submit” page (https://marketplace.zoom.us/develop/HIDDEN_ID>publish).

Hi @jasoenharsineo
Adding a new URL to your allow list wont affect your current ones.
If your app is published in the marketplace, you will need to submit it for app review with the changes you made so they are reflected in the production app
