OAuth-related changes during app review

Hi Team,

I noticed our app is showing as approved in the Zoom App Marketplace, but it’s not published yet. I had a quick question about that stage of the process.

We’re working on a new login flow that may touch parts of the existing OAuth setup. Just wanted to check — if we make that change now, do we need to inform the reviewer or your team? And would it impact the approval or publishing process in any way?

We are holding on to any new changes that might impact the zoom review process. If there’s a recommended way to handle changes at this stage, I’d really appreciate your input on this.

Thanks

Hi @Pascal2

Once your app is approved, what happens next depends on how it’s configured:

  • If you selected “Publish this app myself,” you’ll see an “Approve” button next to your app on the Build Apps page. You’ll need to manually approve it to make it publicly available.
  • If your app is unlisted, it’s already published, but only accessible via a direct link. It won’t appear in Marketplace search results.

For post-approval changes:

  • If you’re making metadata-only updates, those typically get approved quickly.
  • If you’re requesting new scopes or making functional changes, your app will go through a full review process again.

Please note: Any changes you make won’t impact current users until they choose to reauthorize the app. Reauthorization is only required to access newly added features or scopes, it’s not mandatory for continued use of the existing app.
