Pagination next_page_token not working for GET /chat/users/{userId}/messages

GET /chat/users/{userId}/messages

I have been using this API to retrieve chat messages. However, there seems to be a new update where the pagination using next_page_token is not working properly. It returns a new next_page_token but the results are always the same
