Pardot API user permissions error

Description
I receive the below error when I click on the “Custom Field Mappings” tab of the Pardot app configuration. I completed the OAuth sign-on to Salesforce, and was able to save my Business ID on the “Credentials” tab.

“This API user lacks sufficient permissions for the requested operation”

How To Reproduce (If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install Pardot App
  2. Complete authorization
  3. Sign in to Salesforce with OAuth login
  4. Login successful, returns to Pardot App on credentials tab.
  5. Enter Business ID, click “Save” (Pardot Setting Saved message appears in green)
  6. Click on “Custom Field Mappings” tab
  7. Error appears

Additional context
I’ve uninstalled and re-added the app multiple times in attempt to remedy the problem, with no avail. This has worked previously for us but I was informed that the Pardot Lists were not updating on the Webinar registration form setup.
