I have a private Zoom app that I am enable to install via the Authorization URL. I understand that the app is not on the Zoom Marketplace, but shouldn’t I be able to see it as part of “My Apps” in the Zoom Workplace app? How would a user know if they have the app installed?
Here are two areas where I was personally caught by surprise:
Does this Zoom App define a Home URL in Build your app; Features; Surface?
If the Zoom desktop application is hosting the meeting, is the meeting host different from the user signed in to the Zoom desktop application? This can happen if you begin the meeting from the web site and you’re signed in as a different user in the web browser. Zoom Apps tend to be withheld if the users don’t match.
Could you tell me more about your use case and what you’re looking to achieve? For example, if someone is signed into Zoom as a different user in their browser and that user isn’t assigned as the host, they would need to sign into the appropriate account to be classified as the host for that meeting. If you give me a little bit more details about your use case, I can provide guidance on how you can achieve your intended workflow
I linked to the original forum topic where I noticed this behavior, which was several months ago. I haven’t reviewed the current behavior to see if it’s changed since then.
